machine<\/a><\/strong>, configured with dedicated fixtures to perform the different tests required.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This configuration enables the laboratory to carry out several testing applications : <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compression testing on concrete specimens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tensile testing on reinforcing steel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shear testing :<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"738\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1ymx9p6\" data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"567\">compression testing on low-strength specimens;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1lezb19\" data-start=\"568\" data-end=\"614\">tensile testing on reinforcing steel;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"outgi7\" data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"674\">shear testing on cylinder and prism specimens;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ib6axd\" data-start=\"675\" data-end=\"738\">additional test configurations to meet the laboratory\u2019s future requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"740\" data-end=\"944\">The main challenge was to provide a machine versatile enough to switch between different types of testing while maintaining reliable measurement accuracy and using fixtures suited to each
