Since 1987
The foundations of an industrial group
Born from a family venture, 3R Industries has grown through technical expertise, innovation and the gradual integration of capabilities that have become essential to its development. Today, the group brings together several complementary areas of expertise, all driven by the same commitment to quality, reliability and service.
A history shaped over time
1976
The Group’s origins
Henri Rémy establishes RPP to represent PAUL Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. in France, a world-leading manufacturer of prestressing equipment.
1980
First patent
At the family home, Henri Rémy develops the first prestressing wire pusher. This innovation leads to the filing of the company’s first patent.
1987
Creation of 3R
As demand for wire pushers grows, Henri and Jean-Baptiste Rémy establish 3R to design uncoiling machines for prestressing steel. From the outset, the company sets out a clear ambition: to develop its own technical solutions at its site near Montauban.
1991
First expansion in production capacity
3R and RPP continue to grow and move into a 1,500 m² facility in Montauban. With a team of 11 employees, the company enters a new phase of industrial development.
1993
Technological breakthrough
3R’s development of the first automatic control unit marks a major turning point in the market. Automatic test control replaces analogue pressure gauges and opens a new era for testing machines. More than 1,000 Quantris units will go on to be sold.
1994
Expansion of the product range
The Group expands its activities by adding new solutions for reinforcing steel professionals. By becoming SCHNELL’s exclusive agent in France, 3R strengthens its presence in a complementary technical market and broadens its product offering.
2001
Expansion into new markets
3R enters a new phase of growth by applying its hydraulic expertise to mechanical testing machines.
This strategic development extends the Group’s know-how to demanding industries such as aerospace, nuclear, railway, automotive and steel production.
2002
Site expansion
The facilities expand to 2,600 m² across a site of more than 5,000 m². This increased capacity strengthens production capabilities and supports the Group’s continued industrial growth.
2008
Structuring the engineering department
The Group’s in-house engineering capabilities are organised within a dedicated entity officially recognised as a research organisation. This decisive step strengthens the Group’s long-term expertise in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, electronics and software development.
2010
Industrial development
Ten years after producing its first mechanical testing machines, 3R reaches a new stage in its industrial development. This expansion enables the company to manufacture machines with load capacities of up to 1,500 kN and meet a broader range of market requirements.
2011
Expansion into a new field
The Group develops a range of educational equipment and expands into technical education. This new application of its expertise supports knowledge transfer and practical learning.
2012
Structuring the business and gaining recognition in France
The creation of RSP gives a clearer structure to the Group’s reinforcing steel activities, while a broad range of machines receives Origine France Garantie certification. 3R thus becomes the first industrial company in the Midi-Pyrénées region to obtain this certification.
2015
Integrated machining capabilities
The integration of USR into the Group marks a significant step forward in strengthening its machining and metal fabrication capabilities. With 2,500 m² dedicated to these activities, 3R reinforces its industrial resources and its ability to respond to customer requirements.
2015
Software deployment
The first version of the Synt’X testing software extends the technological capabilities of the machines. Software-based test control becomes a key driver of accuracy, continuity and ease of operation.
2017
Enhanced quality control
Quality control reaches a new milestone with the creation of a dedicated inspection room and the acquisition of a coordinate measuring machine for machined components. This commitment to accuracy is also reflected in the Group’s inspection capabilities.
2018
A new technological milestone
The development of the MEG20, a gigacycle fatigue testing machine, once again demonstrates the Group’s ability to meet highly demanding testing requirements.
2019
A new phase of expansion
A new 2,300 m² building supports the Group’s continued growth. 3R now operates more than 4,000 m² of facilities across a site covering over 8,000 m², significantly expanding its industrial capacity.
2024
Governance evolves
The Group strengthens its governance with the creation of an Executive Committee. Led by Benjamin Bovo, Chief Executive Officer, and Jean-Baptiste Rémy, Chairman, a multidisciplinary leadership team now drives this new phase of the Group’s development.
2026
A strong Group identity
The Group’s companies are brought together under a single identity. 3R Industries reinforces the coherence of the Group, highlights the complementarity of its expertise and strengthens the visibility of its long-term industrial vision.
Our structure
The group’s companies
From the family entrepreneurship of the 1980s to today’s industrial group, our history has been shaped by technical innovation and bold strategic decisions.
Since 2026, 3R Industries has brought together the long-established activities of 3R, RSP, RPP, USR and 3I under a single identity. This development does not mark the creation of a new company, but the consolidation of expertise built up across the group over nearly forty years.
3R: testing machines, mechanical engineering and educational equipment
RSP: reinforcement and precast concrete
3I: engineering and R&D
RPP: prestressing
USR: machining, metal fabrication and woodworking machinery
