CREEP'R control unit for creep machines

Creep’R is a specialized control system for hydraulic creep testing machines. It enables the control of a battery of creep machines, with load and strain measurement, controlled loading and automatic reloading for long-duration tests, in compliance with standard NF EN 12390-17 (2019): loading in less than 30 sec., automatic control and reloading.

Creep’R control unit characteristics

  • Control unit in mechanically welded sheet metal assembly, height 130 cm
  • Logic module 24 logic inputs, 16 logic outputs
  • Drive for controlling the hydraulic pump to control flow rate (up to 6L/min)
  • Wired remote control, with open, close, preload, loading buttons
  • Multi-piston hydraulic power unit (reliability, consistency and quietness), mounted on silent blocks, with external level and temperature indicator
  • Ball-type sealed distributors for pressurizing the hydraulic bus
  • Stainless steel reservoir – capacity 40 liters
  • Pressure sensor 400 bar, accuracy 0.5%EM

Console characteristics

  • Touchscreen 10” – Resolution 1024×600 px (223x126mm)control unit touchscreen
  • Ethernet port 10/100 for IMH console
  • CPU 32 bits – ARM clocked at 1 GHz
  • Data retrieval on USB key
  • Remote access for training, configuration and maintenance
  • Backup of tests and configuration, on USB key
  • Barcode reader (option) for reading the identification of the specimen to be tested

Software characteristics

  • 7 user levels limiting access to certain parameters
  • Machine configuration parameters and test specimen definition
  • Preload control using the remote control, close to the machine
  • Loading up to nominal stress in less than 30s, in compliance with the standard • Once nominal stress has been reached, Creep’R regularly monitors the applied load and automatically readjusts if necessary
  • Load and strain measurements from each machine are automatically recorded
  • Remote access capability via internet

    • A control block that can be fixed to the frame, or remote-mounted when used in a climatic chamber.
    • A hydraulic accumulator to maintain the load, max pressure 350bar, capacity 1 liter
    • As an option, a second accumulator extends the machine’s operating range
    • A measurement conditioner for load sensor, resolution 500000 points, accuracy 0.003%EM
    • A CAN output, CANOpen protocol

  • Frame fully machined with 3 or 4 threaded columns to adapt to specimen size
  • Heat-treated steel platens, single-acting cylinder load 200 to
  • 2 000 kN with low friction, stroke 50mm
