We provide a very wide catalog of grips, jaws, adapters, clamping systems and accessories, covering a capacity range from 100 N to 2000 kN, for tests at ambient temperature or in climatic chambers.

Which tensile tooling to choose?

Grips and jaws are essential elements in tensile tests: they guarantee reliable specimen holding throughout the test, without slippage or damage. To properly select your tooling, it is essential to define:

  • The material tested (metal, polymer, composite, elastomer, wood…)
  • The specimen shape (flat, round, profiled, serrated)different types of specimens metal, composite, flat, round
  • Test conditions (ambient temperature, elevated temperature, controlled environment).

Depending on thetype of material and test objective, you will choose a system:

  • Mechanical (screw or lever) for low and medium loads or for integration in climatic chambers,
  • Hydraulic for high forces or very rigid materials,
  • Pneumatic for repeated, flexible or automated tests,

Note: each grip can be equipped with a set of interchangeable jaws, specifically designed for the specimen surface type (smooth, grooved, fragile…).
